A LOCAL

A LOCAL – premiere and simultaneously first photo-project by Israeli artist Ilia Yefimovich in Ukraine. Focusing on territorial disputes and Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Ilia creates parallel reality and de-automatizes daily structures, by alienating familiar sceneries.

I think that first of all the Kiev venue is very interesting for me specifically because of the hard daily existence that goes over Ukraine. I myself come from a conflict zone, my work based on landscapes that were photographed in abandon military bases, and shooting zone, some in the conflicted Jerusalem and west bank, my work in a way shows the hard reality that I create out of this location that look interesting for me.
